The Oyo State Ministry of Health has launched and released its 2024 Annual Operation Plan in the bid to ensure alignment with Governor Seyi Makinde blueprint for health care development in the state.
The book which was launched at special program at the state capital under the supervision of the Ministry of Health to integrate various bodies of interest and forge a direction towards effective health care delivery in the state.
Speaking at the event, the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi broke down the Annual Operation Plan as encompassing key performance indicators, operating budgets, and action plans designed to meet both short- term and long-term objectives of the state’s health sector.
According to Dr Ajetunmobi, the plan includes the provision of medical equipment for 299 renovated Primary Health Care Centres, ensuring the presence of adequate medical personnel in various health facilities, provision of 50 ambulances to improve access to emergency services, Electronic Medical Record and increase of health insurance coverage.
Equally speaking on the AOP, Dr Gbolahan Abbas, the Director Health Planning Research and Statistics of the Ministry of Health said that the AOP will give room for the implementation of the state’s strategic Health development plan, noting that it should serve as the working tools to have a direction of where they are going.
Partners of the Ministry of Health present at the event reaffirmed their support and commitment to facilitate the materialisation of the state government’s vision for health care.
