The match between Super Falcons of Nigeria and Australia (Co-Host of the 2023 Fifa Woman World Cup) at lang park was action packed and the first half look set for a goalless draw but the co-host took the lead in the first minute of the added five minutes after the regular first 45 minutes through Van Egmood.

The Super Falcons managed to remain calm after the late scare and secure all Three points and as they top group B with four points going into the final game of the group stage against Ireland on monday 31 july 2023.
