Twenty years is a long time in the life of a person or organisation. Many even believe that life begins at 40. For any establishment or Organization to have survived 20 years of active existence. It calls for real celebration and that seemingly informed the reason why the management, staffs, students and alumni of Al-Balagh Model College, okeho which comprises of Creche, Nursery Primary and secondary rolled out drums to celebrate the institution 20 years of existence in September, 2023.
The four day programme of events is scheduled to kick start on 20th September, 2023 with Awareness Rally by the students and Stakeholders Alumni presentation, while Qur’an Competition, Quiz and debate, friendly football match will hold on 21st September Day three is get-together between stakeholders and Al. Balagh Staff and Special Jummah service at Al-Balagh Central Mosque and Taurous mosque, on 22nd September, while the grand finale will hold one 23rd September, 2023 which tagged “Award Day” featuring Presentation of Awards and Keynotes Address
While Speaking with our Managing Editor Salau Basiru Taiwo, The Chairman of the School Management Committee, Alhaji Shittu Abdulfatai Ademola attributed the success of the school for the past, 20 years to Almighty God. He said that the school was established September, 2003 with not more than twenty-five children with four teachers, but today with help of God the school have more then five hundred student with fifty teachers impacting knowledge on the Students and the primary axis of the school was already approved by The Ministry of Education Oyo State while. Secondary aspect have been registered with National Examination Council (NECO) while the registration with West African Examination Council (WAEC) is on going.Alhaji Shittu appreciated the God Almighty for made it possible for them within 20 years to moved from rentage apartments to the permanent site of the school at Sawmill Area, Isia, Okelo added that the school has also being fencing with two entrance gate With the motto of the school “God fearing and Qualitative education our school have records many achievements.
In academic aspect such as more than twenty-five- of our Students graduated from Universities, Polytechnic College of educations and school of Nursing, even some of them now a teacher in various Schools.However, Alhaji Shittu gave glory to Almighty Allah that within 20 years of existence their students both primary and secondary axis has recorded 1st, 2nd, 3rd and other position In many competitions such as Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Olwe field Eduservice, MCAM, Servicom, Science Olympiad, Egbe Omo Ibile, Okeho and many more.He therefore appreciated the following Students of the School both past and present, Abul Azeez Idris, Awolere Islamiyah Maradesa Hebeeb, Oseni Abdul Mumin, Balogun Azeezat, Abdulfatai, Abdul Basit, Hammad Sekinat, Salaudeen Moliah, Sotolu Abdul Warith, Ipadeola Zainab, Azeez Islamiyat, Daudu Kathirat, Shittu Yasir, Dhikirulahi Abdullahi, Nurain Ali,Raji Hammid Abdulrafiu Sulaykha , Adeniji Zainab, Moshood Suliah, Raji Maryam, Busari Aminat, Ipadeola Abdullahi, and Tijani Mumeen for witten the name of the school in gold within shortest period of existence. He added that he also be grateful to Raji Muhibudeen, who Score 317 Joint Matriculation Board C.JAMB 2020) and many others that have one way or the other contributed to the Success of the school.
The Chairman also attributed the hundred percent success of the school to the dedication of the management and the hardworking Staffs and the efforts of MSSN members in Nigeria and Abroad. He also acknowledge the support of Parents and Teachers for their Cooperation.He also enjoined other parents who have not registered their children at the school to do so as nothing can be Compared with a school where fear of God and best academic Knowledge.
