Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state was on a follow-up visit to the victims of the Tuesday night explosion in Bodija, Ibadan at Carlton Gate Hotel and 77 Palms Hotel where they have been temporarily accommodated by the Oyo State Government.
The governor who thanked the hotel’s proprietors for their support further directed that a deposit will be made to cover the expenses incurred.
News circulated earlier this morning that the Operation’s Manager of Bon Hotel, Mr Tunde Solomon passed as a result of the tragic explosion.

Fatai Owoseni, said two more bodies have been recovered.
“Rescue operation is still ongoing. As of yesterday, we had three casualties but this morning, just about 30 minutes ago, I got information from the security operatives supporting the medical team that two more dead bodies were recovered this morning,” he said.
The governor’s aide further assured the general public that the state government will ensure the diligent prosecution of those linked to the tragic incident either directly or remotely.
Different reactions have trailed the explosion that occurred in Bodija, Ibadan on Tuesday night.
