The New Chief of Army Staff,
Major General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, was until his appointment Chief of Operation (DAOP).
General Lagbaja was the GOC of 1 Div. Kaduna, who tackled and routed out the Terrorists on the Kaduna Abuja Expressway way during his days, as the GOC.
General Lagbaja hails from Irepodun Local government area of Osun State.
