Shoulders of Support Charitable Organization based in America distributed cash of twenty – five thousand naira (25,000) each to 150 widows and Gaari and Bread to another 150 widows in Okeho,the headquarter of Kajola Local Government,.Area of Oyo State.
The colourful event which had in attendance of beneficiaries, community youths and others took place at front of Okeho Town Hall,on 14th September,2024.While addressing the people at the occasion,Prince Sunday Adebowale Okelola who stand- in for the organization emphasized the need for widows to be more productive, urging them to make good use of the opportunity,they have enjoyed today.
According to him, the organization had done the programme in Lagos, Ibadan,Ilorin and Offa, added that Okeho is the number five city the programme took place in recent years..He therefore appreciated the organization for the job well done despite they don’t know him. He also charged the beneficiaries to thank the initiators and the organisers of the gesture. Prince Okelola also reiterated the belief that the organization would not overlook the welfare of men and women, adding that if the people behave themselves, they will bring another programme soon.
Earlier Alfa Saminu Dauda Olawale during his opening prayer, prayed fervently for the organization and Olofin Radio ( Okelola)who stood- in for them..In their remark, the two beneficiaries of the programme Madam Bintu Ganiyu and Madam Moradeyo Adesope who spoke on behalf of their colleagues in Okeho appreciated the effort of the organisation in alleviating poverty and hunger among women..
They prayed for the members of Shoulders of support charitable organization to live long with robust health and abundant blessings.They therefore advised the politicians to emulate the Charitable Organization inorder to banish the hunger in the land.
