Former Chairman, Kajola Local Government and Member of the Polytechnic Ibadan Governing Council, Bar. Olajide Gabriel Ojolowo was born in Ghana in 1961. He returned to Nigeria with his parents in 1965 where he started his primary education at First Baptist primary School,Isia, Okeho.
He proceeded to Baptist Modern School, Okeho and Okeho Iganna Grammar School Meseole Okeho.He worked briefly with Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources before proceeding to Olivet Baptist High School,Oyo, where he obtained his Higher School Certificate. He holds a Bachelor of Art Degree in Philosophy from the University of Ife(now Obafemi Awolowo University) a Bachelor of Law from the University of Ibadan and a Qualifying Certificate from the Nigerian Law School.
As a student he was very active in student unionism,at Ife,he was a member of the executive of the National Association of Kajola Students and the pioneer President of the association at the University of Ibadan.
On his graduation from the Nigerian Law School,he worked with the Federal Ministry of Justice until 1994 when he moved into a private legal practice.He was once the legal retainer to CNC party,Oyo State Chapter and Kajola Local Government.
He was appointed into the board of The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 2006.Ojolowo period at the helms of the administration in Kajola Local Government witnessed a lot of developmental activities.
In conjunction with his with his executive members he was able to achieved massive roads construction and rehabilitation,mass grading of roads,cultivation of cassava plantation, purchased of a brand new Steyr Tractor for the use of farmers , vaccination of animals and distribution of free eye glasses in conjunction with Site Foundation,Benin.
Staff of the Local Government had every cause to be happy during his tenure as their salaries and allowances were promptly paid.One other major thing his administration shall be remembered for is the reinstatement of Onjo of Okeho,His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha Adeitan 11.
He was a force to be reckoned with in the People’s Democratic Party in Kajola Local Government and Oyo State. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
